little purple flowers
You know how they say that great minds think alike…Well, I think photographic minds REALLY think alike. My friend (and second wedding shooter) Beth and I both saw this house with the lawn covered in flowers and as soon as she called me to say that I should shoot there, I didn’t even let her finish her sentence. Cause I already saw it, and was already planning on it.
I headed over with Timmy and rang the bell to ask if it was okay to shoot there on their front lawn. But no one came and I just shot away. Sooooo worth it! And so glad I got in before they mowed it.
And a little different processing on this one.
Hope everyone had a great weekend. I got rained out on 3 of my 5 scheduled shoots this weekend, but those are all rescheduled to a different day. Deep into communion season and hoping for perfect weather this coming weekend. Lots of new shoots to post this week, so stay tuned…

the tros communion
Communion season is officially in full swing!
Mom and I went to school together from about 4th grade on and recently reconnected on Facebook. I was happy to get to see her again (especially since I haven’t since high school), meet her family, and capture their special day.
The kids were gorgeous and so well-mannered and polite. I think all the kids had a great time at the party with all the gaming stations that were set up for them (ah, yeah. Best idea EVER!) And a fun DJ to keep the action going.
We had some proud grandparents celebrating T’s communion.
And lots of family and friends to help make the day even more special.
It was great seeing you, T. Hope you enjoy the pictures. If you’d like to see all the images from the day, please click HERE.

five for friday
A week or two ago (who remembers) I did a Ten for Tuesday post. I missed Tuesday, so now it’s a five for Friday instead…
1. swine flu- still don’t know where I stand on this one. One minute I’m all “it’s just the flu and no one really seems that bad off with it” and the next minute it’s more like “omg, we’re all gonna die and life is going to be exactly like The Stand by Stephen King”. So that’s where I’m at with the swine flu. It’s a minute to minute thing. What do you think?
2. I’m almost caught up with editing shoots. But by the time I am, it’ll be time for the next batch this weekend. Love being busy though, I get so much more done.
3. Been watching reruns of Sex and the City. Love that show.
4. I am more lost than ever with LOST. Love it, but so freakin confused.
5. The boys have been doing great at baseball and are having lots of fun with it. Jack pitched 3 innings at a recent game and struck out 8 of 9 players. It’s really hard going to their games cause the field they play at is bug city (gross) and Timmy is always into something else, so it’s not like I’m watching much even when I am there. But I did go and got some great pictures.
Hope everyone has a great weekend!

the heal communion
We have been friends with this good looking bunch for quite a while now. The boys all met when they were in nursery school and have been buddies since.
I was so excited when R asked me to take some pictures of their beautiful daughter for her First Communion. While it was actually NOT her actual communion day, she did have her dance recital this day so it worked out really well since she needed her hair done anyway. And as an added bonus, I got a little preview Irish Step dance in full costume in the kitchen.
Miss J was a real trooper and held out for the pictures for as long as possible on this ridiculously HOT spring morning. She was greatly cheered when I took a picture with her neighbor and friend.
Hope the recital went great and that the communion is wonderful too. Can’t wait to see you guys at the beach everyday. Soon!!
