the led family
If you are a blog follower, you will remember these gorgeous girls from holiday season 07. And although the older one has come a looooong way with me from last time, they are quite the challenge to get together in one shot. The older girl really, really did NOT like me last time…so much so that she cried and screamed every time I put my camera up to my face. This time, we got along swimmingly (with her yelling "beth, look at me!!") and she was sweet and cute as always. The little one got so big since I last saw her, walking now and everything. Plus, she is the biggest ham ever- posing it up for me. But getting them to stay still for even one little second, nevermind together and still for one second… forget it. Thank goodness mom loves candids! And since they signed up for the growing up squared program, you’ll be seeing a lot more of them in the year to come.

what’s happening?
exhibit A. They are getting so big and grown up looking. (taking golf lessons at the country club again this year).
exhibit B. They are getting all kinds of attituded up. Rolling eyes, saying "i knoooooowww" and the like in that VOICE, not saying goodbye in the morning.
exhibit C. no longer understanding english apparently. Cause I’m saying things between 3-7 times before they can listen once.
exhibit D. they were obnoxious to my mother (my mother, their grandmother- who buys them EVERYthing they ever ask for, takes them fun places, never yells at them- yeah, that one) when she was watching them for me yesterday.
exhibit E. they have now lost all video games until futher notice (ie. until they can act like non-obnoxious, non-prehormonal, english speaking children).
exhibit F. the constant bickering, picking at eachother, fighting. FUN!
end result. all of the above = tween years. they suck. and are we really in them already? all signs point to yes. And/or they are not digging me working so much and doing the ol acting out deal to prove it. Being the mom is sometimes no fun at all.
And they are handsome and will continue to be…if I let them live.

the mor christening
A guest and a photographer- best of both worlds. My good friend Sharon’s 3 month old son (that would be Timmy’s
brother in lawbest girl’s little brother) was christened last week and we were invited to the party. My gift was the photography. I got a ton of shots at the christening itself and at the party after, but wanted to do some more at home. So back into the outfit the poor kid went and we snapped some outside. I say poor kid cause both days it was about 90 + degrees outside. We kept it short! So here are some of my favorites from the day. Some of my favorite families/clients were at the party. If you are a blog reader, you’ll recognize some of them. And I have shoots coming up with three of them in the near future. It’s so nice seeing them in between shoots- getting to know them better- which will only help me capture them better next time!

Happy Fathers Day
We went down to the beach club for our annual fathers day brunch. Had the whole crew in attendance again (both sets of grandparents, john’s sister and her husband and boys, john’s brother and his wife, and his wife’s sister and dad) so there were 18 of us- at a biiiiig table! Didn’t go crazy with the pictures this year as everyone is getting
slightlysick of me and my camera. We got totally rained out from the beach after brunch though so that was not so good. Of course, it started thundering and lightening and drizzling IMMEDIATELY after we put on our bathing suits and started walking down to the sand. So they closed the beach and really, I didn’t feel like hanging out in the 4 x nothing locker to see if it passed. So we came home, the boys played for a few hours, I did some editing, and John did some hw and napped.
Hope everyone had a great fathers day.

new rooms
Well, not the whole room, but some new stuff. The big boys have been begging me for these cool new MLB beds, since they saw them a few months back in the Pottery Barn Teen catalog. Patrick wanted the National League, and Jack the American League- so that worked out nicely. Jack’s favorite team for a while (and no one knows why- not even him I don’t think) is the Oakland A’s. Patrick is still a Mets guy mostly, but was indecisive between the Astros and the Mets for his pillow. I decided for him. I finally saved up enough to get them (plus the fact their old sheets were literally disintergrating and they were sleeping on a half a sheet for two weeks). The old ones are going to a nice new home. Timmy’s BFF Jack will be the receipient of a used-new comforter for his new big boy bed. The other one, I’ll hang on to to use as a big family blanket for outdoor stuff. They held up well for the almost 6 years they’ve been in use. The new beds are so cool and so big boy. And so baseball. The pennants have been hanging up in the boys room for quite a while, but now they really "go". Still looking to get some wall words for the wall above their beds, but that’ll have to wait a bit.
I don’t think I ever posted pix of Timmy’s new picture wall. Came out super cute I think and he really likes looking at them and showing everyone. His favorite (and mine too) is still the pirate one. He told me last night that he wants to be a pirate all the time. But with the beard and mustache.
