    samantha & darren’s engagement

If you follow along,  I hope you’ll remember Samantha & Darren from their engagment party a few months ago. Well, here’s their engagement shoot taken at Jones Beach as it’s a very special place for them. It’s actually where they got engaged too! web1web2web3web4web5web6web7web8web9web10

  • children & families

    the kell family

Only my second (third?) time photographing this crew, this time for a double special occassion and family pictures all in one. It was their older daughter’s confirmation day and the parents 20th anniversary, so they were dressed up anyway. Two birds, one stone and all of that. I hope the rest of their evening was lovely! And although I am somewhat embarrassed to admit this, this was my first time this far out on the Hempstead Golf and Country Club golf course. I’ve only been a member there for about 18 years. So, yeah.

    jessica & jimmy get married

I only met this fabulous couple the day of their super private, intimate and special wedding. We had spoken by phone and text prior, but this was my first time in person meeting them- and I’m so glad we did meet! They had a super small and special wedding on the beach in Westhampton (where Jimmy is an ocean lifeguard at this beach during the summer) with just their friend who is a minister and the bride’s godfather as witness. It was a very special date as it was the groom’s parents anniversary and they were able to honor it with their own anniversary- see? extra special! Nevermind the fact that they are an absolutely stunning couple and amazing to photograph! It looks like I’ll be working with them again next year for their celebration/party that they’ll hold then. I was so honored to be a part of their very special day!

  • bar/bat mitzvahs

    jack’s bar mitzvah (sorta)

So happy to photograph Jack’s Bar Mitzvah, well- the “pre-creation” (if that’s not a word it is now) of it. Because I wouldn’t be allowed in the temple for the service for religious reasons and because of Covid, we did a little pre-creation of Jack’s reading, pictures with the rabbi and the torah and some outside too. I heard the actual day and party were awesome, I’m sure Jack did a great job. I’ve been photographing him since he was a tiny baby so this was special for me, too. The watch and Shin necklace in the last picture both have special meaning to Jack and his family so I had to make sure I captured those too. Mazel Tov Jack!
