    kenneth & sarah get engaged!

    Right after Christmas, I got to be stealth/ninja photographer and photograph Kenneth proposing to Sarah in Astoria Park! Kenneth got in touch to see if we could work it out where I could capture the proposal itself on the downlow and then stay for a few family/engagement photos afterwards. Between Kenneth and Sarah’s friend Chelsea, we worked out all the details and were able to totally get it done seamlessly. It was awesome!! Sarah was definitely totally surprised and so happy!! And then as another surprise, both Kenneth’s and Sarah’s families were in hiding in the park too and popped up right after the big moment for hugs, congratulations and champagne. It was a perfect shoot to end 2020 on a high note. Wishing Kenneth & Sarah all the happiness in the world!

    catie & austin get married {the church}

    I’ve kept them waiting for this next portion of their photos for way longer than I had wanted to, but it was totally bsquared busy season with a ton of Christmas shoots, editing, cards and deadlines. So there are a lot more pictures below than I’d normally post, but they were so hard to chose just a few and I thought I owed them a little extra big post for their patience. I promise it won’t be as long a wait for the next portion but please enjoy this lovely bride and groom (and Father Bill- I know him!!) being married!

    merry christmas eve!

    Another year with no card from us (shoemakers kid syndrome + 2020= totally unmotivated and no kids here at the same time) but here’s a look at all the outdoor decorations. Most of which I had to take inside because of the incoming storm with high winds tonight. Because 2020 can’t even let us have a nicely decorated house. Of course not. If you look closely, you can see the leg lamp in the upstairs window (2nd window from the left). “You should see what it looks like from out here!”

    the dowd family

    Who would’ve thought a beach shoot in mid/late november would’ve been a good idea?! But it soooo was! We had a gorgeous evening (although as you can tell by the hair, it was more than a little windy!) with warm temperatures and a sunset over the ocean. Normally, the sun sets way over to the right side of the ocean when I’m in beach shoot season april/may-sept/october. I had no idea it set over the water in November but that was breathtaking. Little miss C is a beauty with a spitfire personality, I had so much fun photographing her! I think she loves the beach too!!

    catie & austin get married {getting ready}

    Sorry in advance for total picture overload- there was way too much good stuff and I had a really hard time narrowing it down even this much. I had the pleasure of shooting this awesome couple’s wedding recently. There’s been many shoots building up to the big day and I think we were all excited to get to the day. Even though everything was different because of covid, it was still a beautiful wedding. We lucked out with a gorgeous day weather wise, and a gorgeous bride and groom to shoot. Enjoy this first installment of the wedding- so much more to come!
