Big, giant holes {aka…on the tooth fairy’s payroll}
Thursday, Jack lost another tooth. It was the other top front one– so now he can really say all he will want for Christmas is his two front teeth! Then today, Patrick lost his 3rd bottom tooth during gym. He brought it home in a little envelope and forgot to put it under his pillow. So I guess the tooth fairy will have to wait until Saturday night to pay another visit. I’m sure she needs a day to restock her funds anyway as these kids are bleeding her dry.
It’s been a very busy photo filled week and now I will be doing 6 more shoots this weekend. Keep visiting for more pictures as there will be ALOT to show soon. I will be bundling myself up for this weekends shoots (hat, gloves, uggs over the aircast-which I cannot get off without help!) so while I won’t be pretty, at least I wont have to be in front of the lens. Just behind it, freezing!

Wrapped up the post processing on this tonight. I am loving the artistic look these photos took on. I was bummed in the beginning of the shoot because it was so cloudy and dark, and then just dark because it was late, so we had no natural light. Only lamps. And you know how I feel about the flash (I LOATHE the flash) so I wasn’t sure how much I would like the end product. But I really, really love them. I hope the parents do too!
A very sweet and happy little family they were. So comfortable and relaxed with the baby- not nervous like first time parents can often be. The baby was (obviously) so so adorable and pretty easy going. She was a little upset from time to time when we were nudging her into different outfits and weird positions, but she seemed to like it overall and spent a good deal of time staring right at my camera- can’t ask for more than that! Dad was very brave (after some coaxing) to let me put her on the pool table and I am so glad he was cause I love those shots. Some great naked curled up baby shots too. I think those are my favorites. I don’t know- it’s too hard to decide.

happy birthday grandma
Today was a CRAZY day. Really, what else is new around here lately?! Had a photoshoot this afternoon for a newborn (6 weeks old) baby and her family. Have not started editing that one yet, but I promise it will be done before the weekend (ok, maybe during the weekend). Here is just one shot- a sneak preview until I get them all done.
It was Grandma I’s birthday today so we were invited over to my sister in law’s for cake with her three boys. We all had a fun time. The boys all played in the basement playroom, and the adults sat around and chatted. Grandma told the good stories about yelling at her kids when they were little- totally hysterical!!

Haven’t had a second to post about anything that has been going on around here at all. Not that I am complaining about the number of shoots! I am loving it!
-Looks like everyone is getting in on the picture taking action around here. Too bad there is no film, the camera isn’t open, and there are no batteries. Timmy dosen’t seem to care. He comes running up saying "say cheeeeeeese…click!". I think he likes being on that side of the camera for a change.
-Jack’s second top front tooth is really loose. He might be asking Santa for his two front teeth this Christmas. Uncle Joe (the dentist, not the plumber) might be making another housecall soon.
-Patrick is still on his spelling streak. He has gotten every word right so far this year. Last year (the whole year) too. He is very proud of that. So am I.
-Timmy is loving the "juicebox" lately (yeah, that would be the Jukebox). He will sit in front of it bopping around and clapping his hands if he thinks no one is looking. As soon as he notices that you are watching him, he stops, jumps down and acts all embarrassed. So cute!
-Must fold the laundry. Tonight. It will probably be tommorrow, I’m tired.

-Got some pretty pink roses this week. John was in biiiiiig trouble. But he’s not anymore. And not cause of the flowers.
-Jack has all kinds of good ideas about my business. He thinks I should have a "picture of the week" or "family of the week" promotion where someone with the best picture wins the title for the week and gets a gift certificate to bsquared photography. Love that idea. Maybe in the new year. Pretty savvy for an 8 year old, huh? Gotta love him, even if he talks ALL. THE. TIME.
-Having a hard time saying "I’m a photographer". I don’t know why. I don’t really feel like I’m at that level to say that. I still feel like that "mom with a camera". Like it’s a sham to say that I am a photographer. I am though. I guess. The words still don’t fit in my mouth right.
-So looking forward to seeing Robin and Joe this weekend. The boys are thrilled that they are coming (and to be able to call Joe, Uncle Joe as now it’s official) and are planning a big Wii and Play Station 2 tournament. I can’t wait to see who wins. Robin said she and Joe are rusty at Lego Star Wars.
-I will be teaching scrapbooking to a bunch of Brownies on Friday afternoon. I did it last year and it was a lot of fun, and I think the girls really liked it. I will try to remember to bring my camera so I can post pictures later.
-Timmy had a great story to tell me today. His teacher told me he had a very messy pullup at school and she changed him, but that’s all she said. When we got in the car, Timmy started telling me the rest of the story….He said he had a poopy accident and said "oh, dammit"(yeah, can’t imagine where he got THAT from). He then told me that Miss Diane said that he can’t say dammit in school cause it’s a bad word. I just love it that he told me the story all on his own. I know I shouldn’t have but I couldn’t help cracking up!
-I have lots more shoots coming up this week (one Wednesday, three Saturday, and three Sunday weather permitting) so look for lots more pictures on the blog soon.

The last one from yesterday. Whew.
Although we were missing one sibling, the shoot went well. These two are "the dancer’s" younger siblings and really just as nice and sweet as she is. All three were supposed to come yesterday so we could get a good Christmas card shot. However, the oldest girl’s birthday was the other day and a few of her friends from school threw her a surprise party at the last minute. So, instead of a group shot, I got a few good individual ones that could match the dancer’s head shots so we can put together a card anyway. They were troopers even though it was getting a little chilly out and were doing everything I asked of them- and came up with a few great ideas of their own, too. A few:
