moving right along…shoot #3 “the Lan family”
A mini-session for Christmas cards. Fun and fantastic! Three boys, just like here, but no twins, and they are all older than my boys. So it’s shades of things to come for me while I hang out to take pictures. The Lan’s are really, really great- I know the mom from the boys school and from the beach, too. She is always a real rip and someone you definitely want on your side. She fights all her battles so hard and so well.
I had a great time with these boys and a great time hanging out with their mom, getting some good boy advice. It’s always welcome from someone who has been there!
(no, not all the pictures are them
goofing around, but those are my favorites. I do have some real ones that are suitable for the card!) -
shoot #2- the “bur” family
Up next is the adorable "bur" family. This little girl was all smiles and fake shyness. Super cute. Her mom said she was having an off day (there were a few tears) but I think she did great. Mom and Dad were super helpful in getting her situated and happy so we kept on moving along with the shoot. Mom brought this great basket which really worked so well in the setting- it was perfect. The metal tub was a sucess too. And we had to get some shots with "turtle"- her favorite toy. She is only 8months and really, honestly said "turtle". I heard it!! So cute. Mom apparently loves the midnight sepia finish on the pictures, so I did a few extra in those this time. Hope you like them!

four shoots, one day! Family #1- the “cost” family
I ended up with four shoots today, due to yesterday’s bad weather, the originally scheduled ones for today, and one make up from a few weeks back. Luckily, everyone today was great- babies, kids, adults- everyone cooperated very well. Spent tonight editing like crazy as this week I have seven (yes, seven) shoots- if the weather holds up.
Here is the first family from today- the "cost" family. The only one done so far. Super sweet, cute baby, great weather. Awesome results! Hope you guys love them too! A few of my favorites:

Windy pajama day
Both my scheduled shoots today are cancelled due to the crappy weather. It’s not raining (yet) but it looks like that is immenent and the wind is whipping. Don’t want pictures with "wind face" and they are warning that there is the chance of trees coming down due to the 50+mph gusts. Not a chance I’d like to take at Tanglewood- too many trees.
One is rescheduled for tommorrow, the other I am waiting to hear. While there are so many advantages to natural light photography, this is the definite downside. So we are all still in our pajamas (well, except John) and I am planning on staying that way for the rest of the day. The big boys have a soccer game shortly so they are in the midst of getting dressed– and they are not happy about that. So to make them madder, John has decided to speak only in his spanish accent today. It’s hysterical. I guess all those years working at the "el" have left a lasting effect.
And what’s a post without a picture? Here’s John from the summer, in his usual exhuberantly happy state.

the “mar” family
Had a great shoot yesterday with these cuties and their extremely sweet mom. Ends up that we almost know eachother- a lot of friends in common. And her husband knows my husband from all of John’s years of bartending around the area. These kids were so great and so easy- especially considering their young ages. Great listeners. But when they were done, they were SO DONE. The poor little girl got bit by a mosquito at the end, and it must have been a very hungry, viscious mosquito cause it gave her quite a big bite. There were no more pictures after that. Good thing we were winding it up anyway. Again the shoot was over at Tanglewood. I am loving that spot. Can you tell?
And the trees are getting prettier and prettier. I have another 3 shoots scheduled there this weekend and I am so looking forward to them all. And how adorable is the little boy with his pokey-out tounge. It was sticking out all the time-too cute!
Hope you like them all J.
