saturday’s shoots: the BIG owe family

This was the BIG family I was talking about. There are seven brothers and one sister. Yes, seven. I think they scared me a little. Ok, maybe more than a little. It was a fun shoot, but it was a very big group. Getting all of them looking at the same time (and not goofing off, and not blinking…) was quite a challenge for me, but I think we pulled it off. Every brother has a girlfriend or wife, except one of them was missing today . She is out of town but I am going to get her next week and try to photoshop her in accordingly.

It was definitely an adventure with this crowd!I’m just so impressed this group managed to get all together, coordinated, and in the same place at the same time. Well, less one girlfriend. Img_1699sl Img_1707sl Img_1729cbw Img_1732sl Img_1744sl Img_1749sl Img_1752cbw Img_1759sl Img_1767sl

saturday’s shoots: the owe family [1/2 a minisession]

This wonderful woman is one of my very first clients and also really the crux of all my early and ongoing business- not to mention she takes my scrapbook class and is a good friend, too! She has so many friends and family and she sent them all my way- so we just love her! She was also the boys sports coach a long while ago and they still love her too! The earlier session today (the gil family) is her sister (see what I mean about the business??) and the next shoot I am posting is her husband’s family. We are kinda doing her Christmas mini session in pieces. A few today, a few at her house later in the week.

Her daughter is so sweet and shy and serious. But I did get a few real smiles out of her while discussing the water/sand/rice table at nursery school. She’s a toughie, but oh so cute!Img_1584sl Img_1595sl Img_1611sl Img_1650sl Img_1640sl

Saturday’s shoots: the gil family [minisession]

Oh boy, it was a coooooooold one this morning. The car thermometer read about 29 degrees. But we all sucked it up and headed over to Tanglewood for a mini session. If this family looks familiar to you, I did their pictures over the summer at the beach. It was a lot warmer then!

The little boy did great considering the temperature. He was in a somewhat cranky mood today, but I think we coaxed a few good ones out of him. All the poor kid wanted to do was to go swimming in the ponds. But since he couldn’t, he threw his pacifier into the water instead! His dad did his best to rescue it, but it wasn’t meant to be. A small sacrifice to the park gods. Img_1634sl Img_1438sl Img_1503sl Img_1506sl Img_1570sl Img_1669sl

    Movie Night

So happy I got all my editing done this afternoon so I felt ready to go! We decided to take the boys to the movies to see Santa vs. The Snowman at the IMAX theatre over at the Cradle of Aviation Museum. Santa400 The big boys have seen it every year for three years now and they still love it. It was Timmy’s very first movie! And he really started with a bang with an IMAX flick! It is such a cute, cute movie made by the Jimmy Neutron people, with definite reference to Star Wars in the battle scene. Timmy was just whipping his head around to see all the stuff on the giant screen. He really liked Santa and dug the movie a lot. Of course, I forgot the camera so no shots tonight. We headed out to dinner after to "Pizza Nick’s" and home for brownie sundaes. It was a great fun family night. Hoping to get the boys to another movie Sunday night. Either the Bee movie or Mr. Magoriums Wonder Imporium. They are all leaning toward the Bee movie. Gearing up for the three shoots tommorrow.

Friday’s shoots: the bag family [minisession]

Another sweet and photogenic family. Another super perfect one for the turkey hangover. The only real challenge was getting both girls to look at the same time. The older girl was so patient and great. The baby, is a baby! She was super sweet and quiet but was more interested in the leaves than looking at the camera. We finally bribed her by holding a bottle up on my head. It worked until it made her mad cause she WANTED the botlle! And she seemed to think the leaves were chips- yum!

Funny story on this one. They live in the same house that our friends moved out of. Actually, two sets of friends lived there in the past few years. The address seemed awfully familiar when I was writing it down when we booked the session, but I didn’t add it up. When I drove up, it was the same house. And the funniest part (if two of our friends living in the house wasn’t enough) John did their closing. The dad in this family knew John’s car when I drove up in it!

Got some great shots in the pretty yellow leaves in the backyard. And that old weathered fence looked so "barn-ish". I loved it! The colors were perfect. Img_1219sl Img_1236sl Img_1366sl Img_1384pr69 Img_1321sl Img_1395sl
