    Saturday shoots: [mini-session] the bart family

    Our good friends wanted pictures of their three beautiful girls for Christmas. The oldest is John’s goddaughter and my extremely reliable, wonderful, babysitter. Isn’t she just gorgeous!!?? She’s so grown up, I can’t even stand it. The middle daughter cannot STAND having her picture taken and just barely tolerates me. Barely. We had quite a bit of eyerolling there. She didn’t like it for her communion this spring, and she didn’t like it today either! The littlest one is the biggest love- always gives hugs and kisses, even if you just saw her five minutes before. And her froggy- this frog has been with her since she was born and dosen’t ever leave her side. He even goes to school in her backpack every single day.

    You may recognize Dad as Mr. Incredible from a blog post back in September. He is the sweetest guy (well, not so much when I interrupted his Michigan football game to take pictures. The middle daughter gets that anti-photography gene from her dad, no question) and ALL kids love him. And not only is mom very photogenic, she is an amazing labor and delivery nurse. Don’t know how she works and keeps those girls together so well!Img_0076sl_3 Img_0085sl Img_0095sl Img_0142sl Img_0113sl Img_0121sl Img_0125sl

    Saturday shoots: the cle family

    What a fun bunch this family was! It was a great start to the day. Although it was realllllly cold. I looked extremely fashionable in by ridiculous hat and Uggs, but had to keep warm! I kept telling dad to loosen up, just cause he was sooooo uncomfortable in front of the camera. I think I got a few of him getting loose. The kids were great and real troopers in the cold. I think they had some fun. The little girl was totally freezing and had definitely had it by the end. Got some great ones though. More good looking families- love it! And thanks to the whole family for laying in the cold, wet grass! I think it paid off in the end!Img_0011sl_2 Img_0034sl Img_9826sl Img_9863sl Img_9902cbw Img_9885sl Img_9944sl Img_9961sl Img_9949sl

    big, giant boy {aka…no more highchair}

    A big day for Timmy. No more highchair. It has ended it’s run and is now residing in the attic with the rest of the old, well used baby gear. He hasn’t used it at dinner for a long time now, as he much prefers to sit at the table in the regular chair. We tried the booster at the table for a while, but he gave that up too, and now uses that as a cushiony seat to put on his ride on car. We were using the highchair at breakfast (mostly for containment so I could be sure he was eating while I was making the breakfasts, packing up the lunches, and getting the boys ready for school) but he now likes to sit at the counter with the big boys. Waaaaah- he’s so BIG! Sad that he’s growing up but happy to get that thing out of my kitchen for good!!!Img_9770mgn

    Big, giant holes {aka…on the tooth fairy’s payroll}

    Thursday, Jack lost another tooth. It was the other top front one– so now he can really say all he will want for Christmas is his two front teeth! Then today, Patrick lost his 3rd bottom tooth during gym. He brought it home in a little envelope and forgot to put it under his pillow. So I guess the tooth fairy will have to wait until Saturday night to pay another visit. I’m sure she needs a day to restock her funds anyway as these kids are bleeding her dry. Img_9779x Img_9781mgn

    It’s been a very busy photo filled week and now I will be doing 6 more shoots this weekend. Keep visiting for more pictures as there will be ALOT to show soon. I will be bundling myself up for this weekends shoots (hat, gloves, uggs over the aircast-which I cannot get off without help!) so while I won’t be pretty, at least I wont have to be in front of the lens. Just behind it, freezing!

    the oco family

    Wrapped up the post processing on this tonight. I am loving the artistic look these photos took on. I was bummed in the beginning of the shoot because it was so cloudy and dark, and then just dark because it was late, so we had no natural light. Only lamps. And you know how I feel about the flash (I LOATHE the flash) so I wasn’t sure how much I would like the end product. But I really, really love them. I hope the parents do too!

    A very sweet and happy little family they were. So comfortable and relaxed with the baby- not nervous like first time parents can often be. The baby was (obviously) so so adorable and pretty easy going. She was a little upset from time to time when we were nudging her into different outfits and weird positions, but she seemed to like it overall and spent a good deal of time staring right at my camera- can’t ask for more than that! Dad was very brave (after some coaxing) to let me put her on the pool table and I am so glad he was cause I love those shots. Some great naked curled up baby shots too. I think those are my favorites. I don’t know- it’s too hard to decide. Img_9492x Img_9517x Img_9534clr_2 Img_9568x Img_9594x Img_9657mo Img_9681x Img_9685x Img_9706mo Img_9718x
